The International Standard includes a set test pages in a common format that can be used to test the efficiency of colour toner cartridges and cartridges for colour ink. The test suite isn't designed to print photos however, it does show typical consumer pages. The pages can be printed according to the ISO/IEC 19798 or ISO/IEC24711.
The special system of global standardization consists of IEC (the International Organization for Standardization), and ISO (the International Organization for Standardization). National organisations that belong to ISO or IEC contribute to the development of International Standards through technical committees established by the respective organization to address specific areas of technical activities. ISO and IEC technical committees work together in areas of mutual concern. Other international organizations, both governmental and non-governmental, working with ISO and IEC, also take part in the activities. ISO/IEC JTC 1 has been created as a technical committee that is jointly responsible for information technology. International Standards will be developed in accordance with the ISO/IEC Directives.
